MIRROR.CO.UK – Emilia is the front runner to be cast as Rebekah Nicholson, 33, girlfriend of Leicester striker Jamie Vardy , 29, in his biopic.

Emilia, 29, voted “sexiest woman alive” last year, is known to millions as Daenerys Targaryen in the cult Game of Thrones fantasy series.

Jamie gave us one of the most jaw-dropping stories in footie after firing the Foxes to the top of the Premier League. His ascent, from earning £30 a week as an amateur to England pro in six years is beyond belief.

Hollywood bosses are said to be eyeing Vinnie Jones to play ex-manager Nigel Pearson. Star Wars star Daisy Ridley is also a contender for the role of Vardy’s girlfriend.

Filmmaker Adrian Butchart , who’s expected to release the movie in 2017, said: “In a male-dominated story, it’s important to have a strong female lead. Becky’s a combination of beauty and inner strength.” (source)

On Tuesday (April 21) Emilia was out to support an event with a cause, shedding light on the global refugee crisis at the opening of the “Refugee” exhibit at the Annenberg Space for Photography. Speaking with InStyle, Emilia said “I think it’s an incredible opportunity to get an artistic point of view on such a global crisis. It’s something I’ve got a real passion for. When you get to go to an exhibition that’s really supporting an important cause… it’s just, it’s nice.” (source)

She looked great, as usual, in an Alexander McQueen dress. Several photos from the event have now been added to the gallery, with thanks to Emily for her help with some HQs! Be sure to check them and stay tuned on twitter @EmiliaClarkeNet for more additions!

COMING SOON.NETTerminator Genisys, the fifth big screen entry in the blockbuster science fiction franchise, opened to a mixed response last summer. While the film was, on the whole, not a hit with critics, Genisys still pulled in more than $440 million at the worldwide box office. Following the film’s opening, Skydance chief creative officer Dana Goldberg announced that the franchise would be “readjusting” its plans for additional Terminator sequels. While word has been relatively quiet as far as the franchise’s future, we got an update directly from Genisys star Emilia Clarke.

“No,” Clarke put it succinctly when we asked if she might again play Sarah Connor in future Terminator sequels. “Can I say that? It’s okay. No. Uh-uh. But I have some very different roles coming up.”

Among those roles is the lead in Warner Bros. Pictures‘ Me Before You which, the Game of Thrones star explains, is a dream project for her.

“I read the book and it was just the most beautiful thing I had ever read,” she said. “I was shooting ‘Terminator’ at the time and had a rocket launcher in my hand while crying like a little girl. I felt like the author, Jojo Moyes, had found a part of me and just wrote it down. I knew that I just had to play the role.”

Me Before You, which hits theaters June 3, is directed by Thea Sharrock (The Hollow Crown) and stars Clarke as a woman who begins caring for a wealthy young man (played by Sam Claflin) who has recently become paralyzed.

“Khaleesi doesn’t laugh,” Clarke said of Me Before You‘s refreshing change of pace. “She doesn’t smile. She’s really serious. She takes her work very seriously. This role is the complete opposite. It’s affecting, but it’s a comedy as well. There’s some very funny moments in it… It’s a simple love story that talks about people’s rights.” (source)

On Monday night (April 10), the Game of Thrones Season 6 Premiere took place. It was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Pretty much all of the cast attended, and Emilia looked great in a Erdem Rebecca AW16 black velvet dress with white floral embroidery all over it. For the hair, she opted for a Khaleesi-inspired ponytail wrapped in gold fabric (Hollywoodlife.com)

Tons of photos from the event have now been added to the gallery – and more will be added between tonight and tomorrow! So be sure to stay tuned on twitter @EmiliaClarkeNet for all the news on the additions! Enjoy these for now :)
