Watch a new special look featuring interviews with the cast and filmmakers of Solo: A Star Wars Story, in theaters May 25th.

ELLE.COM – It’s hard to imagine Game of Thrones without any CGI added. “The special effects as a department brings to a production the chaos and mayhem,” Sam Conway, the show’s special effects supervisor, said in HBO’s newly-released clip detailing just what goes into the show’s.

But the network’s video gives a glimpse of a pre-CGI Game of Thrones, and it’s truly something:

MAKING GAME OF THRONES – Costume designer Michele Clapton discusses her approach to creating a wide variety of looks for the show’s large cast, using clothing to help tell characters’ stories, and where she finds inspiration. Watch the video below:

VOLTURE – Don’t fall asleep around Emilia Clarke. While filming her big inferno scene that aired on Sunday’s Game of Thrones, she and her cast had to take breaks in the green room whenever the set got too hot or they’d have to reset the shot. One of the Dothraki khals, played by Joseph Naufahu, quickly learned that if he dozed off during that late-night downtime, he’d wake up with Dothraki words scribbled on his arm or forehead. “A lot of it was, ‘Qoy Qoyi,’ which means ‘blood of my blood,'” he told Vulture.

During one such nap, however, Clarke eschewed ink in favor of confections. “I had my dessert sitting on the table, and she decided to smear the dessert on me,” he said. “She put caramel fudge all over my fingers, all over my costume, and she was about to feed it to me, but I woke up. I woke up with a spoon in my mouth.”

Watch above, as Clarke and company take advantage of a sleeping Naufahu, all while struggling to keep from laughing. As Naufahu added, in hindsight, “Maybe she was delirious from all the propane on set.” (source)
